NIH/FOCC Golf Tournament!

To all friends of the National Institutes of Health:

Please join the Friends of the Clinical Center (NIH/FOCC) for a day on the links at the second annual NIH Friends of the Clinical Center Golf Tournament! This is a great opportunity to get out of the office and network with government and industry leaders while supporting an important NIH charity. As you probably know, the Friends of the Clinical Center is a non-profit NIH charity organized to help patients at the National Institutes of Health who develop financial and other emergency needs while they are participating in clinical trials at the NIH Clinical Center. Treatment within an NIH clinical trial is free to patients, but the costs of living go on while patients are being treated. The FOCC provides full financial assistance for all in need. FOCC financial assistance serves both clinical trial patients and science. With FOCC help, financially burdened patients are able to complete clinical trials and the trials are more accurate and scientifically valuable because they can maintain complete cohorts of patients. The FOCC is an important NIH charity and you can be a valuable partner in the work of the FOCC.

The FOCC golf tournament is scheduled for Thursday, May 13th. and will be held at the beautiful Waverly Woods Golf Club in Marriottsville, Maryland. All proceeds from this event will benefit the FOCC; and all funds will be given to clinical trial patients on an as needed basis as determined by the Clinical Center social work staff. The FOCC is a great charity and the FOCC golf tournament a great event and it is expected to sell out!
